I was introduced to Chuck by a mutual friend almost ten years ago when he did a small roof repair for me. Since that time, Chuck has completely remodeled my kitchen, built a new fence, put new windows and doors in my home (including installing doors in walls where there were no doors before to increase accessibility). 

He and his fantastic family/crew have installed cabinets in many rooms, built a bar, done interior and exterior painting (including faux finish), repaired minor plumbing problems, created a new, large laundry room to replace the tiny space between the garage and house that was in the original plans, installed both tile and wood flooring, refinished my stair rails, hung blinds and curtains, redone my fireplace, built a walk-in closet, installed shelving, put in smoke detectors, lights, and ceiling fans, wall-mounted large screen TVs, built a new fence, installed a whole-house generator, and built a second-story guest room where there was only empty space looking down into my entry hall before. And I'm probably forgetting some of the projects.

Chuck Emmons is one of the people I trust most in the world to keep his word and do his best at every job. Katie Emmons Smith is one of the most talented young ladies I've ever met. Her artist's eye and creative skills create the big picture, but she's just as capable of the guys as doing the actual manual work, too. Mike Shepherd is the "strong guy" who carries the load - no matter how heavy that load might be - and is a jack of all trades who can do amazing things with a set of power tools. Jason Emmons, who left the family business for a corporate management career, is sorely missed by those of us for whom he performed minor miracles when he was a full-time part of Chuck's crew. 

It's been said of me that I never met a house I didn't want to remodel. I admit that some of the ideas I come up with are pretty crazy. Many/most contractors would, upon hearing them, tell me that it couldn't be done. Chuck never has; when you give him a mission, his response is to start figuring out how we're going to go about doing it. And he has never failed to come through. 

There is only one reason I would ever be hesitant to recommend Chuck whole-heartedly to anyone who needs home remodeling/renovation/repair work done; that's because I don't want him to be too busy to do my next project. And I'll always have a next project. 

Thank you, Chuck et al, for making my home so much more beautiful, for saving me thousands of dollars over the years, but most of all for being my friends. Knowing you has made not just my house but my whole life better.

Mr. Emmons has provided friendly, effective, and professional services to me and my mother numerous times, on a variety of house repairs and problems, some of which required creative problem solving.  (Same for his son and associate, Jason.)  He is honest and helpful, including over the phone, and his rates are always fair.  He just tries to help solve your problem -- he doesn't try to scalp you! -- and he stays available, unlike some 'hit and run' handymen whom you never can track down again.  I highly recommend him and his way of managing his business.

Possibly one of the luckiest days of my life was the day that one of Chuck's children placed a flyer on my door.  I was looking for someone to handle all the things that I don't have a clue how to do.  Chuck and his kids have been a part of my life for over 5 years.  They have painted and re-painted for me.  Chuck spent 8 hours in my new house hanging every shelf, picture, mirror, etc. on my walls.  I cannot explain all they have done for me, from building things, to fixing things, to painting things and hanging things.  They are honest and reliable.   As my daughter says, "Everyone needs a Chuck."
